The Documenting Cinema conference will take place in the heart of Hollywood at the Academy’s Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study.
The Pickford Center is located at 1313 Vine Street, Los Angeles, California 90028. The building is at the northwest corner of Vine Street and Fountain Avenue in Hollywood, two blocks south of Sunset Boulevard.

    The Pickford Center is an easy 10-minute walk from the Metro. Take the Metro Red Line to the Hollywood and Vine Station, head west on Hollywood and make a left on Vine St. MTA and Dash buses also stop within walking distance.     Conference attendees arriving via Ride Share should be dropped off at 1313 Vine Street, Los Angeles, California, 90028. The main entrance to the Pickford Center is on Vine Street.
  • By Car
    There is no parking available at the Pickford Center. For those driving, there is convenient parking available at the ArcLight Hollywood Cinema (6360 W. Sunset Blvd.), located just one block from Pickford. Entrances to the garage are on Ivar Ave. between Sunset Blvd. and DeLongpre Ave. and on DeLongpre between Ivar Ave. and Vine St. The rate is $14/day.
  • From 101 Freeway Northbound:
    Take the Sunset Boulevard exit and bear right. Drive west on Sunset Boulevard and turn left onto Vine Street. Take the first right onto DeLongpre Avenue; the entrance to the ArcLight Cinema parking garage will be on the right.
  • From 101 Freeway Southbound:
    Take the Vine St exit and bear right. Drive south on Vine St,. Make a right onto DeLongpre Avenue; the entrance to the ArcLight Cinema parking garage will be on the right.
  • From 10 Freeway, Eastbound or Westbound:
    Take the La Brea Boulevard exit and drive north on La Brea to Sunset Boulevard. Turn right on Sunset, then right onto Ivar Avenue. The entrance to the ArcLight Cinema parking garage will be on the left.
